Production manager
ABEDD is located in Kalnciems, Jelgavas nov. and seeking a highly skilled dynamic professional to join the team as PRODUCTION MANAGER with engineering background.
As a small factory, we value versatility and hands-on leadership, and this role will encompass not only managing production but also overseeing maintenance, addressing breakdowns, driving continuous improvements, and managing personnel.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Oversees the manufacturing process to ensure efficiency, quality, and timely production of goods.
- Oversee equipment maintenance activities to minimise downtime and ensure optimal functioning of machinery.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, troubleshooting issues, and implementing corrective actions to minimize disruptions to production.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and streamline processes.
- Develop and implement strategies to meet production targets, quality goals, and cost objectives.
- Manage inventory levels and monitor raw material and finished goods inventory to ensure availability and minimize waste.
- Lead and mentor production staff, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback to foster a high-performing team culture.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and quality standards.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in production management, preferably in a small manufacturing environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment, with hands-on experience in maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and coach a diverse team.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and implementing process improvements.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
- Driving license (Due to practical reasons candidate shall live within 40km from Kalnciems.)
