Business Development Manager | Market Expansion & Acquisitions | Consumer Lending

Mission for the Role:
Identify, evaluate, and drive market entry opportunities in Europe (for now) for the consumer lending business, through acquisitions or greenfield licensing, with full ownership of market analysis, deal sourcing, partner engagement, and execution leading each project from discovery to deal signing, as well as ensuring project management function for takeover or launch.

Outcomes | Success Metrics:
  • Deliver qualified acquisition or greenfield opportunities.
  • Complete at least 1 successful acquisition or company setup.
  • Build acquisition pipeline across priority markets.
  • Complete market research for expansion into 3-5 countries.
  • Establish relationships with decision-makers at target companies.
  • Deliver investment cases to management.
  • Coordinate due diligence and project team execution.

Competencies:
  • Financial Understanding has the ability and knowledge to correctly read and interpret financial data. Understands balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow in the context of business performance and acquisition potential. Can assess financial health and sustainability without relying solely on analysts or external support.
  • Market Research Excellence independently conducts regulatory, competitive, and market-entry research.
  • Strategic Networking knows how to open doors and establish trust with company founders/owners.
  • Project Ownership able to lead complex multi-stakeholder deals from idea to execution.

Fit | Cultural & Experience Match:
  • Experience in finance, corporate development, investment banking, or M&A.
  • Experience in consumer lending, fintech, or banking highly preferred.
  • Proven experience with deal sourcing, M&A processes, or greenfield market entry.
  • Preferably familiar with European markets, especially CEE, Baltics, Balkans, Southern Europe.
  • Self-starter, able to work autonomously and lead cross-functional project teams.
  • Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously across geographies.
  • Values: curiosity, ownership, precision, professionalism, long-term thinking.

Compensation:
We assess each candidate individually to understand the professional skills and experience they can bring to our company, considering personal goals and growth ambitions.
Offered salary for this position is starting from 4000 EUR gross.
